About altar serving:
All Catholic middle school students have received an altar serving schedule. This schedule is also posted in each middle school classroom. Students are instructed to inform their parents of the schedules, to look for all the times each of them is scheduled to serve, and to check their family calendars for any conflicts. Students know that they are responsible for showing up 20 minutes prior to Mass time in appropriate clothes if they are scheduled to serve. If they cannot, it is their responsibility to get a sub from among the other 6th, 7th, and 8th graders. They should NOT leave this until the last minute. If they do not arrange a sub and do not show up, they will serve a Detention. If a sub has been arranged, they need to inform me or call the rectory and leave a message for Fr. Grewe prior to serving time, and the sub will be held responsible. This is a responsibility we expect them to take seriously.
